Before you start:

1. Measure your opening measurements (mm)

2. What type of strips are needed for your opening?

What type of environment will the stripdoor be used in, storefront, freezer, cafe, warehouse, coolroom?

What type of traffic will be using the doorway, i.e. Pedestrians / forklifts / vehicles / haulage trucks?

Different strip types include:

Shopfront Stripdoors: Shopfront standard stripdoors in 100mm Wide x 1.6mm thick PVC which we recommend for shopfront stripdoor applications.
Standard: Standard grade PVC strips in flat and *ribbed PVC for ambient and chiller applications available in five widths and four PVC thicknesses.

Pola: Freezer grade PVC strip rated to -40 degrees celsius available in ribbed and flat PVC.
Coloured: Coloured material for aesthetics and privacy

*Ribbed PVC, otherwise referred to as Bumperstrip, is recommended for heavily used doorways or freezer applications as vertically ribbed PVC Strips do not allow strips to stick together and prevents strips from icing together in freezers. Ribbed PVC also absorbs abrasions; helping to maintain strip clarity. Suited to forklifts and trolleys. Ribbed PVC will also help to prevent clinging to stretch wrap.

3. Face Mount or Head Mount?

Please can you confirm how you will be mounting the Strip Curtain on your opening – Face Mount (or side Mount) or Head Mount.

The Head Mount option the door is made to the exact measurements you give us, and is generally used where the Strip Curtain is mounted inside to the top of the door frame.

The Face Mount option, we will make the door 100mm Wider and 50mm Taller to allow the Strip Curtain to overlap the opening, and is mounted on the outside face on the wall or architrave.

4. What type of hardware/ rail option is required?

We charge different rates to various areas of Victoria so that we can give you a more accurate freight quote.
